It features a super tough hand forged axe head that measures 5 ¼ inches. The cutting edge measures 2 ¾ inches. This axe has gone through a lot of work to get it to this stage. They make it using a mix of iron, carbon, silicon, manganese and vanadium and put all of that through a tough hand forging process.

Weighing 1.25 lbs this axe feels well balanced in your hands and won't let you down no matter how much abuse you decide to throw at it. Thanks to the American Hickory wood handle (famed for it's strength and flexibility) this axe can take all manner of blows. With it's hand-forged axe head it is stronger than drop-forging. With a Wetterlings axe you get a really sharp edge, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-58.
