Case 9240 Item Description:This is a wonderful knife made by the W.R. Case & Sons company. It is their 9240 knife, which is a Trapper Nut knife. It measures just under 3 inches in length and weighs 1.2oz. Fits nicely into your pocket. The pattern number is I220 ½ SS.
The real beauty of this knife, and what really sets it into it's own league is that the handle material is taken from genuine mammoth ivory, which is over 10,000 years old, sourced delicately from the frozen tundra of northern Siberia and Alaska.
An item of great natural historical beauty, it deserves to be at the front of any collection.
The handle is Nickel Silver bolstered and pinned to finish off the presentation.
As for the blades, well you get a Clip and a Spey blade, each one being made from razor sharp Tru-sharp surgical stainless steel to their highest standards.
