There is also a small section of ridged notches on the spines upper section where you can place your thumb during use to gain additional control. A good solid finger choil ensures your hand stays firmly planted on the handle during use. The handle is covered in Black linen Micarta and has an exposed rear lanyard hole that can also be used as a pommel.
