Spyderco C71BLPS Item Description:This is the Spyderco Salsa C71BL PS. Spyderco set out to produce a range of little big knives that would be able to compete with larger knives in performance while remain small and compact to ensure they stay compliant with tougher and tougher regulations.
This Salsa model is the one that started it all off.
It's an knife with a Blue anodized Aluminum handle scale that resists pitting, scratches and generally holds its good looks year after year.
Within the scales is a compression lock that is normally only reserved for much larger knives. When utilized, the lock ensures that this is a very strong knife to own.
The blade is made from AUS-8 grade stainless steel and measures just under 2.5 inches in length.
An integrated cobra hood is fitted above the thumb hole in the blade. Both of these make opening the plain edged blade a very easy process. Plus because this is a compact knife, the cobra hood serves as an extra place to place your grip, making it feel like a bigger knife overall.
A tension wire clip enables left or right handed carrying, and it can be stored tip up.
A great knife small in size, limited in numbers that is high in character.
An integrated lanyard hole allows you to attach the knife whenever not in use.
