The blade is teamed up beautifully with the Maroon colored fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle. This material is not only waterproof, it is also lightweight, allowing you to easily carry it on you without being weighed down. The deep finger choil lets your index finger be positioned at the bottom of the blade, with the thumb on the top making every movement more comfortable and precise.
You will notice the blade is held in position by a notched joint at the knife's pivot. When you have finished and want to close the blade, the notch produces some resistance making it nearly the same as a traditional slip joint knife.
