Spyderco DAllara Rescue C82SBK

This is the Spyderco D'Allara Rescue Spyder Edge Knife, model number C82SBK. It has been made in commemoration of New York police officer John D'allara who sadly passed away when he entered world trade center building one, September 11th 2001.

As he was a huge collector and owned nearly every one of Spyderco's knives, they made this knife in his memory.

This folder knife is a high performance knife with a drop-point Spyder edge blade designed to cut through items like rope and other tough items with ease. The blade can be opened with a single hand, left or right, thanks to the spyder hole cut into the upper edge of the blade.

It also incorporates a very robust locking mechanism based on a ball bearing. This system is called the ball bearing lock(TM).

Simply pull back on the handle mounted ball bearing to release the lock when you want to close it.

The handle is made from FRN, a fiberglass reinforced Nylon that gives a really good level of comfort and grip.

A lanyard hole is built into the butt of the handle to allow for safe storage when not in use.

At 3.5 inches, the VG-10 stainless steel blade provides plenty of raw courage and passion for you to enjoy.

The handle is 5 inches, more than enough for any hand to grip firmly.

This knife weighs 5.1oz which is not too light nor is it too heavy. It's a good balanced knife that needs to be tough to deal with heavy tasks under difficult situations.
