Spyderco C18WMPS Item Description:This is the Spyderco C18WMPS Goddard JR collaboration knife with White Micarta handle and combo edge blade.
Spyderco first collaborated with Wayne Goddard in the 1980's. He was an up and coming knife maker proving his skills based out of Eugene, Oregon.
His particular style involved making knives with a deep under belly and drop-point blade.
These days he is a master at what he does and a pivotal member of the American Blade smith's Society.
The 2 13/16” drop-point blade on this knife is made from VG10 stainless steel, and hollow ground with a combo-edge to it. This allows for more than just regular everyday slicing.
It also has Spyderco's famous hole cut into it so that you can flick open the blade with just your thumb, leaving your other hand free for other tasks such as positioning, or holding down of prey.
The handle is around 4 inches in length and made from Micarta. It includes a lanyard hole for storage and a finger guard for protection when in use.
