Case 13143 Item Description:Following on in this series of smooth bone Trapper knives with Wharncliffe blades is the Orange handled version. This is the Case 13143 Wharncliffe Tiny Trapper knife that also has a Clip blade. The pattern number for this vibrant offering is 62154W SS.
Case have produced 5 different colored smooth bone handled trapper knives that have a Wharncliffe blade and Clip blade. This one is the Orange handled one and comes with a diamond shaped Case inlay shield and polished Nickel Silver bolsters that really offset well against the Orange cattle bone handle.
The two blades are tru-sharp surgical stainless steel. This means they are razor sharp, hold a sharp edge and also fend off rust and corrosion with ease. The Wharncliffe blade is a design supposedly derived from the Sheffield based Lord Wharncliffe from 19th century England. He asked for a specially designed blade that would be very strong, and this was the eventual answer.
This Case Wharncliffe Tiny Trapper 13143 with orange smooth bone handle measures 2 3/8 inches when closed and weighs just 1oz. We love it!
