North American Frontier Knife. Utility Knife with beaded sheath. Knives of this sort were highly desired as trade goods on the western frontier of America. After acquiring these knives from the Europeans, tribes fashioned their own elaborate sheaths. Each knife features full profile tangs and hand rubbed hardwood scales decorated with structural brass pins that pass through the tang. 420 J2 stainless steel blades with spine jimping and traditional Mediterranean notch. The elaborate sheath is genuine leather with handsome beadwork.
