The Scallion is equipped with Kershaw's exclusive SpeedSafe assisted opening. Just pull back on the ambidextrous blade protrusion or push on the thumbstud and the blade moves out of the handle, ready for use. The high-carbon blade steel offers good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. The bead-blasted finish is easy to maintain. Not to be outdone for safety, the Scallion features a liner lock to keep blade in open position and a tip lock to lock the blade closed. The Scallion’s yellow handle scales are bright and makes it easy to spot. The glass-filled nylon handle makes it nearly indestructible and provides for a comfortable, safe grip.
