Kershaw Nakamura - Folder knives 1480

This is the Kershaw KS1480 Nakamura folding knife. At just 3.2 oz its deceptively light and yet incredibly tough. The blade's bolster is made from no less than 19 layers of steel and vari-colored copper to give an incredibly tough bolster where the colors are exposed through detailed patterning. Then we have the handle – made from pure Quince Wood it's a delight to hold and look at

The blade is just short of 3 inches long and made with a VG-10 stainless steel core and 420J2 outer layers for enhanced levels of strength.

There aren't many knives that are made using this high level of work, but when they come along they are well worth it.
