The Desert Sand Blur’s 14C28N high-performance stainless-steel blade is DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated for additional wear and corrosion resistance. DLC is hard, non-reflective, and just plain looks good. The blade is opened using Kershaw's patented SpeedSafe assisted opening system. With the handle of the Desert Sand Blur, the black DLC coating is matched with black Trac-Tec grip-tape handle inserts for an extremely solid grip. The handle itself is durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum. This makes it both lightweight and extremely durable.
