Case 5897 Item Description:Here is the Case 5897 mini Copperlock knife, in John Deere Green. Case have produced a number of these exquisite knives to commemorate the success of the John Deere brand name, showcasing the logos and how they appeared through the years. This particular knife showcases the 1956 trademark of the John Deere brand name.
It's a mini copperlock knife, measuring 3 5/8” in length when closed. It has a a smooth Green colored bone handle with the 1956 trademark, plus a set of tyre tracks banding around the handle. Outside the handle are two polished Nickel Silver bolsters which really do look superb and help set off the handle in a fantastic way.
The main large Clip blade pulls out, and the finger groove cut into it helps make things easier when pulling the blade out. It's made from tru-sharp surgical stainless steel, and honed to a fine edge that is razor sharp. Simply fold it away when not in use to keep it, and you safe.
This knife weighs only 2oz, which is actually quite light, so it can be used pretty much all day if needed and it is unlikely to fatigue your hand. The pattern number for this knife is 61749LSS. There are a number of knives that have been made to commemorate the various trademark designs of John Deere, together they make a fantastic collection for any JD fans!
