When knife designer Ed Halligan created this knife he wanted to remove all the unnecessary features. He decided to strip the knife clean and only put back what was needed. Whilst doing this he was able to solve some challenging design problems he had encountered in the past.

For example the classic slip joint pocket knife normally comes with a steel frame and full-length brass liners. He decided with this model to minimise the frame, and riveted on two small brass liners to locate the blade laterally. As well as all this he also gave it the finger choils that help you to have a secure hold always – one great knife to love working with.
