Columbia River 1168K Item Description:If you have got to have a knife that will make you the most envied person around, then look no further than the Columbia River McGinnis Notorious 1168K. Many of you may or may not have heard of knife designer Gerry McGinnis. For those of you out there who have not, he is a very talented designer who wants to create something special for each and everyone of you. Once your friends have seen the 1168K, they will wondering where they can get their hands on one as well.
It comes with a 3.5” modified spear point partially serrated blade, that is made out of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel and has a Rockwell hardness of 58-59. The knife's blade is coated in black oxide which not only prevents corrosion, but enables the blade to be stronger. This knife features the outburst assisted opening system. To open the knife, all you have to do is press one of the dual ramped thumb studs which instantly springs the blade fully open, after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.
What you will notice about the 1168K is that the handle is exceptionally strong with its two stainless steel frames and stainless steel back spacer. No matter how forceful you are with it, this knife can take it, plus a bit extra. There is nothing worse than using a knife and you feel you have to be careful as you do not want to break it, this is something you will never have to worry about.
Alongside the toughness, this handle has G10 scale inlays which not only ensure you have a tight and firm hold as all times, but also make it much more comfortable to hold.
