This is what the 2870 does for you as it allows you to take control.

The 3.82” plain, modified drop point blade is made from hot forged 6188CrV carbon steel which has been heated to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit and forced into a die under pressure. This improves the blades strength, ductility and toughness. Once this process has finished it then gets the Rockwell hardness of 59-61 for extra holding ability. The knife has a black EDP non-reflective coating for corrosion resistance.

The wide handle allows you to have a secure grip and contoured to fit the hand. The skeletonized design of the handle not only reduced the weight of the knife, but the smaller holes can also be used for a lanyard or cord wrap allowing it to be either attached to your belt or hung up in between use.

The IFB comes with a custom molded black Kydex sheath which firmly grips the knife allowing inverted carry. When you want to remove the sheath simply squeeze the locking clips together and pull up on the flexible tab.
