Columbia River 5160 Hitchcock Hole In One 25 Knife

The Columbia River Hitchcock Hole In One 5160 is a truly amazing knife to add to your collection or as an excellent first knife to start with.

The talented designer Tom Hitchcock had just finished designing a rather complicated multi-tool, when he then decided that he would like to design a knife that is different and simple.
The 5160 is just a plain knife with no fuss needed, so literally what you see is what you get. There are no fancy frills, just a strong and dependable knife, which is the most important thing you need.

Features a 2.5” Hitchcock blade made from 420J2 stainless steel that comes with a high flat grind and a gentle curved razor sharp edge. The single hole blade is plain and easy for cleaning, so there is no need to spend lots of time having to clean it in between uses. The Hole In One locking mechanism locks the knife in the open and closed position and you will notice that when you are gripping the knife tightly during use, the lock also grips tighter for extra security, so you do not have to worry about accidentally cutting yourself in the process.

This knife can be opened very easily just by pressing down on the lock release lever and rotate it to either side. Continue rotating until the lock snaps firmly into place in the open position. One benefit with this knife is that it does not have a conventional clip, making it a perfect choice, whether you are left or right handed. With it's unique design you have many options to choose from when it comes to how you want keep a grip of it. The index finger can go through the blade hole, or you can grasp either the frame finger choil, if you require greater control.

The stylish handle is just a single piece of 420J2 stainless steel which has been specially designed to fit into the palm of your hands. It was then decided that they would split the frame with swells at the top, bottom and butt to enable more comfort without adding any extra weight.

Finally the 5160 comes with a spring loaded carry carabiner, so you can hang the knife on either belt loops, D-rings, webbing or lanyards. It also can be used as a bottle or jar opener.
