Columbia River 1055W Item Description:If you are a fan of the Delegate knife range then you will most certainly be impressed by the Columbia River Delegate EDC Cocobol 1055W. This one is just like the 1055 except that it has more of a dark and mysterious feel to it.
Featuring a 3.125” drop point blade made from premium 8Cr14Mov stainless steel, a Rockwell hardness 58-59 and black oxide coating which is perfect for reducing any glare.
This knife has incorporated in it the Outburst assist mechanism which mean the knife cannot be opened accidentally, so you never have to worry if it is in your pocket that it can open and cause any injuries.
To open this knife just simply press on the fire safe thumb stud and rotate it forward to start opening the blade. When the blade is approx 30 degrees, the Outburst then kicks in and instantly opens the knife up. All this can be done with one hand, never again will you have to struggle when opening a knife. When you have finished with it the blade in then held securely in place by the pin in the locking liner.
The beautifully crafted handle is made from aluminum and cocobolo wood. This particular wood is from Central America and is typically orange or reddish - brown in color with darker irregular traces that weave through the wood giving it that unique look. The interframe has stainless steel liners with black aluminum bolsters and inlaid scales. You can rest assured that you will always have a secure and firm grip of the knife, so that you are always in control no matter what is thrown at you.
