Cold Steel 49KS Item Description:This is the cunning Cold Steel CS49KS Steel Tiger Karambit fixed blade knife. A brilliant knife which has become extremely popular. This is a knife designed by custom knife designer Steven Likarich and stretches to an empowering 9 ¾ inches overall.
The Steel Tiger Karambit from Cold Steel is their particular interpretation of the ancient Indonesian design, and although it's uses are slightly limited when compared to other knives, it's menacing design draws attention time and time again. Perhaps the ancient warriors were right after all.
It features a 5 inch blade (5mm thick) that is crafted using AUS 8A stainless steel which is curved just like a real Tiger claw. The blade is polished and taper ground as well as being vacuum heat treated and then sub-zero quenched to enable it to retain a really sharp edge for long periods of time.
The handle is a work of art in itself. Made using a tough Grivory core for strength, it is then covered with Kraton and offers superb grip capabilities. The finger hole allows for the most comfortable grip style, enabling you to stay together during battle.
This particular knife also comes with a secure-ex sheath and clip so it can be lashed to your gear or even secured to you with the removable boot/belt clip. The CS49KS Cold Steel Karambit Steel Tiger weighs in at 5.4oz. We love it.
