Cold Steel 97BW12S Item Description:This is the 12 inch version of our Cold Steel Bowie Machete, model number 97BW12S.
These Bowie knives are very popular designs which go back hundreds of years, and are great for slicing and cutting.
The blade is a stiff tempered 12 inch 1055 stainless steel blade with a baked on Black anti-corrosive coating for longevity.
It's sharp enough for the vast majority of tasks, yet is always available for a little extra sharpening, which many people prefer to suit their own tastes – however it really is not necessary.
The handle is a Black polypropylene material which offers a good mix of grip and comfort, and includes a lanyard hole for hanging or attachment. This 12 inch bladed version is suitable for all hands and users, however please note we also sell a larger 18 inch version for those who need the biggest and best, bar none – please refer to the 97BW18S for more information.
