It comes shipped in three sections that require quick assembly via the included retaining screws. This Spear separates into three sections. The head section incorporates the Spear head welded to a steel shaft, then there is the counter balancing butt spike (or shoe as it is otherwise known). You can use this as an alternative point for making practice throws ensuring the spear head is reserved for the mightiest of throws you wish to accomplish.

Finally there is a Black hardwood handle with a double taper that connects both the head and shoe sections. A nice tight fitting Secure-Ex sheath is included too for safety purposes. If you could compare these Spears to the gun world they would be like the Winchester 300 Magnum.
