Case CA6580 Item Description:Here is the Case Trapper “Kinfolks series” knife, model number CA6580. One of a series of knives that are Commemorating the “Kinfolks incorporated” brand set up in Little Valley New York in 1926 by Russ Case, Dean Case and Tint Champlin (of the Cattaraugus cutlery company).
This brand was designed to produce razors and knives for both the WR Case company and the Cattaraugus cutlery company and so the work that was done before Kinfolks cutlery was sold to Robeson Cutlery in 1957 has been celebrated with this special series of knives.
With pattern number 6254 SS this Trapper knife measures 4 1/8 inches when the blade is in the closed position. It features jigged bone handles with a Honey Brown color that looks delightful as though it heralds from years gone by.
The handle also features an exclusive Kinfolks inlay shield that is made of Nickel Silver. At either end of the handle are two bolsters which are also made from Nickel Silver and are polished to a high shine.
There are the two Trapper blades – a Clip blade and a Spey blade, both of which are made using Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel. The blades have handy nicks cut into them so that you can pinch them and open them out easily.
If Case history means something to you, then take a closer look at this knife. The 6580 Trapper Kinfolks series knife is a great one to own that looks delightful. You won't be disappointed.
