The W.R.Case knife company have been in operation since 1889 when three brothers began selling their knives along the wagon trail in upstate New York. Since then, they've grown to become world leaders and can count names such as N.A.S.A. and an American President among their list of customers.

The knife has a G10 handle. This is a tough mixture of glass fiber and epoxy resin that is highly compressed and has thermal insulating properties as well as being able to withstand just about anything that could be thrown at it. It is certainly impervious to most chemicals.

The handle also has an oval shaped Case inlay shield set into it made using polished Nickel Silver. The two end bolsters also get the same level of luxury being made from the same polished Nickel Silver.
