Case CA6581 Item Description:Paying tribute to some of the Case family members is this the Case Stockman knife, part of their “Kinfolks Incorporated” series of knives, model number CA6581. If you like your W.R.Case company history then this makes perfect sense to add to your collection and pay your own tribute.
The Kinfolks Incorporated company was set up by Tint Champlin of the Cattaraugus cutlery brand, J Russell Case and Dean Case to supply razors and knives to both brands. As Dean Case passed away in1951, the Kinfolks brand was sold in 1957 to Robeson Cutlery from Perry, NY.
Thankfully, Deans nephew Emerson Case was the president of Robeson, and being Den's prodigy, he took the Kinfolks products and continued with the production until his retirement in 1965.
The Stockman knife has the pattern number 6318 SS and it measures 3 ½ inches when it is in the closed position, so is very much a knife you can carry around with you all day long if you want to. It certainly won't bulk out your pockets.
The knife has three Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel blades – a Clip blade, Sheepsfoot blade and Spey blade. Offering a tough reliable performance they hold a razor sharp edge and help fight off rust and corrosion.
The handle is jigged Honey Brown bone with an exclusive Kinfolks inlay shield. Matching the shield are two polished Nickel Silver bolsters. Overall a very nice knife that is part of a truly great commemorative series of knives.
