Case CA18223 Item Description:You are looking at the Case CA18223 rough Black series tiny Toothpick knife. Harking back to the 1940's when case had to make do with whatever resources they could find, these knives were referred to as Gum Fuddy knives.
The knife has the pattern number 610096SS and sports a long stainless steel Clip blade. Case use Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel for the formation of these blades. This steel is highly used because it has some brilliant properties. First of all it has a razor sharp edge. It then holds that edge for long periods of time and the finally it is able to fend off rust and corrosion with ease.
The polished Nickel Silver bolsters and inlay shield are vibrant and alive and provide a good contrast to the knife handle. The handle material is known as rough Black, a series of knives have been made with this style to commemorate the knives made during World War II. The material is a Black synthetic material.
Measuring 3 inches when closed and weighing just a tiny 1oz, this is one of the nicest pocket sized lightweight knives we've seen in some time. Why not try a bit of old gum fuddy for yourself with the Case18223 rough Black small Texas Toothpick knife. Pattern number 610096SS. 610096 SS pattern. 3" closed. Stainless long clip blade. Black jigged synthetic handles with nickel silver bolsters and Case inlay shield.
