Case Muskrat Kinfolks Series Knife Jigged Honey Bone CA6583

This is the Case MUSKRAT SS pocket knife, model number CA6583. A knife that is part of their “Kinfolks Series” of knives that have been made to pay tribute to the Kinfolks Incorporated company set up by three Case family members to make knives and razors.

Tint Champlin of Cattaraugus Cutlery along with Russ Case and Dean Case (of the W.R.Case Cutlery brand of course) set the company up to supply the two cutlery companies. This setup by the the three family cousins was very successful and continued on through various incarnations up until 1965.

The Muskrat knife features a jigged Brown Honey colored bone handle with an exclusive Kinfolks inlay shield set into it. The shield and the two end bolsters are all made using polished Nickel Silver that look superb.

Then you get two razor sharp Clip blades made using Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel. The steel has a razor sharp edge, and has the ability to retain that sharp edge over longer than normal periods of time. The steel is also good at fending off rust and corrosion, so makes for a very fine material to use.
