Case 00363 item description:Here is the Case XX 82131 Mother of Pearl 636 Canoe knife with fluted bolsters. When you first look at this knife it measures approximately 3 5/8 inches in length from tip to tip (when closed).
Clad entirely in Mother of pearl, the handle looks totally exotic, incredibly beautiful, and really reaches out to you, begging to be used. M.O.P. has to be sourced from the layers of shell linings of molluscs, oysters and abalones for instance. This is then combined with plates of aragonite to create a very hard material that is flexible and perfect for use in knife handles.
The side of the handle features the Case company logo, in Nickel Silver, just the same as the Bolsters.
The two blades ( a spear and a pen blade) have been made from Tru-sharp surgical stainless steel, and fold away inside the 3 5/8 inch handle when not in use. They are razor sharp, retain a sharp edge over long periods of time, and have the ability to fend off rust and corrosion.
