Two small grooves in the lid add a touch of style, as well as serve as a point for pushing the lid open with your thumb. You can even flick your wrist to cast the lid open if you want to, and listen to it's satisfying click as this occurs.

The lid aids with protecting the flame as you turn the flint, helping to ensure you can light up with minimal concerns.
