Case CA18227 Item Description:Here is the Case humpback Stockman knife, part of their rough Black series of knives model number CA18277. A knife designed to revive the original “Gum Fuddy” knives Case made in the 1940's during World War II. You get all of the excellent qualities you'd normally associate with a Case knife and then proud historical heritage thrown into the mix.
The knife has a Black synthetic jigged handle that replicates the designs made during World War II when Case had to source different handle materials as their main materials became scarce. Their resulting Black handles were much like these, and it is this reason why this fondly remembered design has been revived.
Married with Nickel Silver, you get an oval shaped Case inlay shield and polished bolsters that do a great job of complementing the knife. This combination always works well and is why Case use it extensively.
The blades are made using Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel. You get a Spear, Sheepsfoot and Spey blade, all of which enjoy a superb level of sharpness and which retain that sharp edge for long periods of time while at the same time fending off rust and corrosion. The main Clip blade also has a fingernail nick cut into it that helps you when you are opening it out.
Overall this 0.20 lb CA18277 Case humpback Stockman with rough Black handle is a real crowd pleaser. One to enjoy.
