There are two blades with this Trapper knife. A Clip blade and a Spey blade, both made using Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel. The steel delivers razor sharp cutting and good rust and corrosion resistance. The main Clip blade also features a colored design of the American Sportsman logo. The blades lock in place during use thanks to the lockback mechanism. Squeeze the lever in the handle to disengage the lock.

The handle is natural bone that has a unique inlay shield set into it. It's a shotgun shell design with the Case double X symbol stamped into it. The shield is made from polished Nickel Silver. The two end bolsters are also made using polished Nickel Silver. Alongside the shield is artwork depicting a grouse hunting scene.
