Case 6350 item description:The Case company have done it again with this awesome Canoe knife (model 6350) which pays tribute to the C.Platts & Sons company, one of the early forefathers to the Case company brand. Treasure the past and remember the people who made all the difference.
Case have been developing incredible knives for more than 100 years, so they really do have an understanding in the fine art of knife making. This particular model is a wonderful representation of all that they do, and all that they have achieved so far.
It's a Canoe knife, and it's just over 3.5 inches long(when the blades are closed), so it's the perfect pocket companion to have with you when you are out in the woods or around the camp fire.
Looking at it, you can see that the handle looks superb. Jigged bone taken from the Brazilian Zebu cattle is used mainly because of it's strength through it's density. Case usually take it from the shin area and create sets of flat slabs ready for use pre-production. The jigging is done during the production process, as well as being dipped to give this Walnut coloring.
Upon the handle is the original propeller shield that was the symbol for the C.Platts knives company. Polished Nickel Silver bolsters adorn either end of the handle.
There are two blades, a Spear blade and a Pen blade. The Spear blade is lavishly etched with the C.Platts name and propeller logo and also enjoys a fingernail groove that enables you to pull the blade out far easier. Each of the two blades have been made from tru-sharp surgical stainless steel, so they remain very sharp, staying sharp for long periods of time while also fending off rust and corrosion.
This collectible knife weighs a mere 2.9oz and comes with a special C.Platts gift tin. The pattern number is 62131 SS.
