Throughout history, the W.R. Case knife company have exceeded their customers wildest desires with their impressive knives. They've done it again with these second cut antique knives. This knife is the Case second cut antique bone Barlow knife, model number CA25803, pattern number 62009 ½ SS.

The knife features a Clip blade and a Pen blade, both of which have been made using Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel. This steel is highly regarded among knife enthusiasts because it exhibits some wonderful properties.

For a start the steel allows for a razor sharp edge to be achieved. This has to be seen to believed. It is advisable that young hands are kept well away. The steel is also able to retain that sharp edge over long periods of time. The steel is also good at fending off rust and corrosion so all in all it is truly brilliant.

The blades are stamped with CASE XX USA near to the pivot. A handy fingernail nick is cut into the upper section of the blade also. This provides you with a place to hold with pinched fingers while you open the blade out.

Then we have the bolster. It is a highly polished bolster that covers the pivot areas of the knife. Made using Nickel Silver it provides a nice reassuring contrast to the overall design, especially when coupled next to the handle.

The handle is Antique colored bone that has been machine jigged in their Bradford, PA production facility. A Case inlay shield is set into the handle, again made using polished Nickel Silver.
