This exciting Case XX design has a completely delightful Persimmon Orange smooth bone handle which is pinned to the frame and given the “Case XX Block” inlay shield (Nickel Silver) before nestling in between the two polished, curved geometric shaped Nickel Silver bolsters at either end.

The bone used is considered to be a fine grade, as it is taken from Brazilian Zebu cattle, notably because it has a far denser characteristic. They tend to use the bone from the shin area as it contains less marrow, and offers a more reliable and sturdy material that will outlive other handle materials.

The bone will typically be cut into square slabs at their Bradford, PA production facility, and then will be held until needed. If the handle material is going to be smooth then it will be left in it's native state, else it would be typically machine jigged during the production process, as well as being dyed with various colors to suit the owner.

This particular medium Stockman measures 3 5/8 inches in length, when closed. A slip joint mechanism is employed for the lock. You get the three usual blades – a Clip blade, Sheepfoot blade and a Spey blade. Each blade is made to Case's usual high standards, being made using their Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel.
