Case 13160 Item Description:Presenting to you the Case 61100 SS Walnut bone large Saddlehorn knife, model number 13160. A triumph of engineering, a celebration of 120 years of awesome knife making by the workers at the Case Workshop in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Everyone has their own preferred style of knife, and there are so many styles the Case enthusiastically cover, it can be hard to keep up at times. One thing is for sure – every knife is created to be as good as the one before it – always has been, and always will be.
The large Saddlehorn has two polished Nickel Silver bolsters that enclose the bulbous handle, creating the completed knife. The handle is made using Brazilian Zebu cattle shin bone. This grade of bone is very dense and makes the perfect material for Case knives.
The bone is jigged to create the natural design, and then carefully hand routered so that it accepts the script style Case inlay shield which is then set into it. Then we have the blade. A tru-sharp surgically stainless steel Clip blade with a fingernail groove that aids in retracting the blade out of the handle when you want to use it.
Simply stunning.
