What you are looking at is the Case “Standard Knives Company” mini copperlock knife, model number 10505. Another fantastic knife to come out of the USA base of the Case knife company.

This knife is special in the fact that it is showcasing one of the earliest Case companies known as the Standard Knife Company which evolved along the historical timeline of the Case company's long life. It's got two redeeming marks that let you know. A Tang stamp and a bar shaped inlay shield that both say the name STANDARD.

The handle is made from Brazilian Zebu cattle bone as it offers excellent density properties and will reliably outlive many of us. These knives sure are intended to stick around for some time! It is given a jigged pattern during the production process and given this coloring you see at the same time.

It has a lockback mechanism to keep the blade locked open during use so that you can use it more vigorously. Polished Nickel Silver bolsters and a Nickel Silver bar shield help enhance the outward appearance.

The blade on the Case 10505 mini Copperlock is made from stainless steel, and honed to a razor sharp edge while at the same time being given a long finger groove that you can use to aid with pulling the blade out when needed.

This knife is 2 ounces in weight and measures 3 5/8 inches. Great for pocket carrying and not too heavy, so it can be used a lot without causing undue stress or fatigue to hands or joints.
