The idea behind these knives is that they are suited to the delegates who were part of the constitutional convention in 1787. Hence the name of the delegate line. However the name is all that is shared, apart from some classic styling. These are premium grade high tech knives.

The knife incorporates CRKT's outburst assisted opening mechanism as well as their revolutionary patent pending fire safe release mechanism built into the thumb stud.

When the 3 inch 8Cr14MoV steel blade is ion the closed position, the outburst spring bias holds it firmly in place. At the same time, additional security comes by way of the pin from the fire safe mechanism within the locking liner which engages the blade.

This great looking knife has a blade that is 0.096 inches thick and enjoys a Rockwell Hardness rating of 58-59 and has a Satin finish to the shallow grind edged clip point plain edged blade.

When you are ready to open and use the knife, all you need to do is press inwards on the fire safe thumb stud and the rotate in a forwards manner. This will start to open the blade. At about the 30 degree position, the outburst assist mechanism kicks in and takes over the opening rapidly. In reality, all of this is achieved in a fraction of a second once you start to use the mechanism by using just your thumb.

The handle has a 2Cr13 liner and a Cocobolo wood insert along with Black anodized 6061 Aluminum to create truly marvellous piece. It even comes with it's own stainless steel pocket clip so you can carry it within your pocket if you wish to do so.
