Case Cutlery CA15707 Item Description:Calling all John Deere fans who love Trapper knives! Here is the Case CA15707 John Deere Green Trapper knife. If you really enjoy exquisite workmanship then if you didn't already know, Case knives are amongst the best in the world.
Since 1889 they have had time to perfect their fine skills and impeccable products. Case knives are so good that they have even been used by NASA on a space mission!
This particular Trapper knife measures in at just slightly over 4 inches (4 1/8 inches to be precise) in length, when the blades are closed away, so it is a nice general length for storing in your pocket when not in use.
It comprises the wonderful polished Nickel Silver bolsters that Case are renowned for. The handle is clad in bone taken from Brazilian Zebu cattle, notably for it's density so that it is not overly porous. The bone is then cut to slabs and kept ready for use. The machine the handles and then put a jig pattern onto them which is brought to life once the Green color dye has become ingrained into the bone.
A rectangular shaped John Deere shield is set into the bone and then it is fastened to the frame using polished Brass pins and rivets. Then we move on to the blades. They are Tru-sharp surgical stainless steel that features the long tail C Case log stamped upon them near to the blade pivot.
There is a Clip and a Spey blade. Each blade is razor sharp and benefits from an include fingernail nick so that opening the blades is easy.
