This knife opens with a gentle push of a button and will close with the same button. It has an external locking mechanism to keep this locked down when closed. The handle is black kydex that has a portion of it with a more secure grip area. The top of the blade also has a opening so you can open this manually. Buck still makes this one in the USA.
