The steel is annealed, cold ground and then polished for strength and a nice pleasing finish. It's plain edge is extremely sharp and it's pointed tip makes it great for piercing and cutting open carcasses. The upper section of the 3 1/2 inch Clip point blade has a natural thumb ramp built into it where you can place your thumb during use. This enables you to deliver greater control during use.

The handle is laminated plastic impregnated wood with a nice contrast colored banding close to the blade section. There is a nice finger choil built in to the deign ensuring your hand stays in the right place during use.
