The knife features an AUS 8 stainless steel blade with RC of 57-58. The blade has the Al Mar logo on it, and also a fingernail groove cut into it that aids you with grip when you are attempting to open the blade. To release the lock simply squeeze the release you can see being revealed in the cut-out on the upper section of the handle.
