This knife uses AUS 8 stainless steel for the blade. It is razor sharp and has a fingernail groove cut into it which makes it easer when opening and closing. There is also the Al Mar company logo printed onto the blade as well. The steel blade has a Rockwell hardness rating of 57-59, and measures 3.95 inches. The blade thickness is .08 inches.
