Al Mar AM1002BM Item Description:Here is the perfectly formed Al Mar Hawk knife with Black Micarta handle. This is the AM1002BM model and delivers you a larger knife than it's younger brother (the Osprey), but still all the same superior levels of quality you've come to expect from a premier hand finished knife.
Al Mar have been exceeding their customers' expectations since 1979 through their dedication to quality workmanship and materials. They carefully hand finish and hard sharpen each knife they make so you get the very best of custom knife making and low prices through modern practices.
The Hawk is a classic “gentleman's knife”made by the Al Mar company for over 30 years. This version has Black Micarta handles that are smooth and extremely hard wearing. The Black Micarta is married to a stainless steel bolster. Sitting between the two is a cut-out that reveals the “Al Mar Front Lock” release lever. Squeeze to release the lock and you're all done.
The blade is AUS 8 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness rating of 57-59. The long fingernail grove cut into it aids when you are opening the blade out ready for use. The Al Mar company logo and brand name are also clearly visible on the side of the blade.
This larger knife sports a 2.5 inch blade that is .08 inches thick. The overall length of the Al Mar Hawk 1002BM is 5.75 inches. It's weight is 1.5oz and there is even a lanyard hole. There is even a leather embossed pouch included with your purchase to keep it safely protected when not in use.
