Case 5894 Item Description:You are looking at the Case 5894 John Deere trademarked small Texas toothpick knife with 1937 logo. John Deere has made subtle changes to their company logo through the ages, so Case was commissioned to commemorate the various Trademark designs through a series of spectacular knives.
This knife is a 3 inch knife (when the blades are closed). It weighs only 1oz, so it is extremely lightweight and totally portable. Carry it with you all day and use it all day, it wont tire you out.
The handle reproduces the colors you have come to know associated with John Deere - Green and Yellow. It is made using a smooth bone taken from Brazilian Zebu cattle (for it's strength and density) which is the soaked in the dye coloring and then given the final decoration of the 1937 logo and Deere tyre tracks.
Two polished Nickel Silver bolsters complete the look, making it into the recognisable handsome Texas toothpick style so many people love.
The blade is a long Clip blade made using Tru-sharp surgical stainless steel and honed to give a super sharp razor edge. It also has a fingernail groove to assist with the opening of the blade. The pattern number for this knife is 610096SS. It is part of a number of knives showcasing all the John Deere brand trademarks.
