The blade has been machined out of Sandvik 13C26 steel because it offers a great level of hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and is extremely durable. The Black Tanto blade is a menacing length of steel measuring 3.5 inches with a series of grooves along the edge and tip (hence the name Groove).

This RJ Martin designed knife is one of his signature designs. A notched thumb ramp on the 3D machined blade and Kershaw logo provide instant reassurance of the brand as well as an extra point of traction for grip purposes during use.

An extended tang provides a point of resistance for your hand so as not to accidentally slip onto the blade during use. It also provides an extra way to help close the blade by pulling the tang inwards.

The handle is 410 grade stainless steel that has G10 overlays and a uniquely designed overlay that is a signature Martin design. Two decent sized recesses (finger choils) aid with grip.
