The first Buck knife was produced in 1902 by a young Kansas blacksmith apprentice called Hoyt Buck. He was looking for a better way to temper steel so it would hold an edge longer, and by doing this, is how it all began. Hoyt made each knife by hand, using worn out file blades as raw material, and he was greatly appreciated for his work during WWII. Hoyt and his son Al then moved to San Diego and then set up shop as H.H. Buck and Son in 1947. His son Al then revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 when he designed the Model 110 Folding Hunter. The folding lockable then made Buck a leader, which they still proudly hold today. Hoyt and Al Bucks creativeness put the company on the map thus making Buck the successful knife maker it is today. 357 to choose from.
