Case use their tru-sharp surgical stainless steel to form the blades, simply because it is tried and tested and is able to perform time and time again, holding a sharp edge and fending off rust and corrosion. There is a Clip blade, a sheepfoot blade and a pen blade. The sheepsfoot blade offers the most control, while the Clip blade is great when working in tight spaces. The pen blade is great for piercing and again working in tight spaces.
A generous fingernail groove aids you when opening the blade, providing a grip/resistance point to which you can use when pulling it open.
The handle is Delrin, an engineering thermoplastic used for precision parts because is is extremely stiff, and has low friction and brilliant dimensional stability. The jigged pattern makes it more authentically resemble natural bone, without it actually being bone. Many people prefer this option.
