The Skinner knife measures 7 ¼ inches overall and has a 3 7/8 inch blade section. Thankfully though, the blade does not stop at the handle. The steel continues right on inside the handle so there are no weak points or joints that could cause the knife to fail during frenzied work. The full tang construction ensures strength throughout is assured.
The handle is Green laminated wood with a narrow neck section where your fingers sit, and a bulbous section to fit snugly inside the palm of your hand. A leather belt sheath is also included to help tame the claws of this knife when it needs to go to sleep.
The blade is upswept with a pointed tip great for piercing and skinning with a hole you can use when adopting certain grip styles. A couple of notched jimping sections on the blade allow you to place your thumb for greater control.
