This is of course a replica sword from the Movie sword used in the film that can still dish out a tough and agile blow. Either way, fans will appreciate being able to hold their own sword in their own hands.
The sword measures 36 ½ inches overall and the blade section measures 27 ½ inches. It is heat treated 420 grade stainless steel with a wide fuller. The guard and pommel come in an antique Brass plated finish. The guard has further detailing showing opposing horse heads. The hilt features a genuine leather wrap that delivers a nice comfortable grip and is made using a tough rat-tail tang construction.
When Gandalf asked Theoden to take his sword Herugrim because it would feel better in his own fingers, he knew that he was the king and after clearing his mind he went on to lead the defense of Helm's deep.
The Herugrim sword UC1370ABNB comes with it's own parchment certificate of authenticity along with a nice wood bound display plaque that has a silk screen design. For all true LOTR fans out there.
