Columbia River Gallagher Glide Lock-Coral 7410 Knife

This is the Columbia River Gallagher Glide Lock/Coral 7410, a knife that you will not forget about in a hurry. When the knife designer Barry Gallagher created this knife, I bet he never knew how popular it would be.

The knife has a 2.875” spear point blade made from AUS 4 stainless steel, with the Rockwell hardness of 55-57 and a high hollow grind. The blade also has a non-reflective titanium nitride coating, which helps to prevent corrosion of the blade.

When you are ready for action, slide the bolster out which will then create the tang to rotate the blade open. Slide the bolster back and the blade is in a locked open position. When you have finished slide the bolster again until the blade is closed with your index finger. Slide the bolster back to lock the glide lock close.

The vibrant orange handle most certainly catches the attention of people passing by. The handle is made from CPL composite materials, and the swirls that you can see in the handle are created from the injection moulding process. The material of the handle makes it tougher stronger and also lighter to hold. There are two benefits to this particular handle. The first is you can guarantee to always have a firm hold of it at all times. Secondly if you are to accidentally drop it, the vibrant orange color will make it easy for you to find it again.
