Case have a habit of making some of the best knives in the world. After all they've been doing this since 1889 – ever since they first began selling their knives along the wagon trail in upstate New York.
This knife is part of a series of 11 Navy Blue bone handled knives. Each knife is tough and nimble and features this wonderful attractive Color. The knife has a handle where it's made from bone taken from Brazilian Zebu cattle. The bone is Rogers Corn Cob jigged and then hand finished with the deep Blue.
There is a Case inlay shield stamped with CASE USA plus two bolsters that complete the handle. All three are made using polished Nickel Silver and deliver truly dazzling looks. The blades comprise a Clip blade and a Spey blade. Both are made using Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel and have fingernail nicks cut into them to aid with the opening of the blades.
The steel delivers a razor sharp edge, as well as retaining that sharp edge for long periods of time. The steel also has the ability to fend off rust and corrosion as well, so all in all it's a bit of a super steel you can rely upon.
The Case 2838 Mini Trapper knife measures just 3 ½ inches when the blades are in the closed position. It's weight is a nice and light 2.6oz so feel free to put it to good use ll day long if you want to. 6207SS pattern. 3 1/2" closed. Tru-Sharp surgical steel clip and spey blades.
